Our Team
SKYLink was founded by a husband and wife team who have a combined 25 years of experience in commercial aviation, flight training and instruction.
Kristen Petrie is an Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University graduate. Her degrees are in Aeronautical Science and Construction Management and is an FAA licensed pilot, licensed drone pilot and certified flight instructor. Kristen started her aviation career as a flight instructor for U.S. Airways, where she trained pilots on systems and operations procedures for the Boeing 737. For the past 8 years she worked on commercial construction projects throughout our community as a Project Manager. Kristen now works full time as owner of SKYLink Drones.
Eric Petrie is also an Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University graduate, with degrees in Aeronautical Science and Civil Engineering. Eric, a native Buffalonian, worked as a commercial airline pilot for 15 years before the start of SKYLink Drones in 2016. His interest in drones started as a hobby, but he soon discovered the vital and even life-changing results drones can produce—from maintaining safety standards for first responders to providing reliable inspections more affordably.
